Uh, hi, I'm new. This is my first Giles or otherwise ASH-related piece of writing, and overall the first thing I've written in a while. Also, this is un-beta'd, and English isn't my mother tongue, so please be gentle? *hides*

Anacrusis

Cool fingers brush over his stomach and creep under the waistband of his jeans. He tenses and grabs Ethan's hand to still its inquisitive path.

"Changed your mind, Ripper?"

"No." He hesistates. "It's just... I've never..."

"Never? With anyone?"

"No! Yes! I mean, never with... another boy." He blushes, suddenly self-conscious.

The dark-haired boy grins cheekily. "Well, there's a first time for everything, I guess."

Before he can protest, his words are stolen by soft, burning lips, and he relaxes back into the pillow with a trembling sigh.

"Trust me?" Ethan asks, a whisper in his ear.

"Always."



I may have another coming, if I don't drop dead first.

Very nicely done. I don't even really read G/E - but canon quite clearly indicates a close bond and a past there.

I really can see Ethan as more of the instigator. And it is certainly something quite different from the norm to see Giles vulnerable.

All in all - excellent. Can't wait to see what you write next!

Nah, I was just wondering about the "for a first try" part. And I'm pathologically insecure, especially about my writing. Not your fault at all. ;)

I'm that way too...understand completely. I often don't make suggestions in reviews because that's the part I stink at. I just think it's better to give the praise and let those who know better offer critiques.
