I don't know if there's more. I have no idea where they are, how long it's been since Ethan escaped, how or why they've met up, what either of them are up to, or even when in the Buffy timeline this is. But there is definitely something going on here ...
And I would love to play with the idea of Giles getting away from formal magic and into shamanism instead. I shall have to let the idea brew and see what comes of it!
