Title: Secret Admirer
Rating: G
Pairings Giles/Buffy, Giles/?
Wordcount: 214
The first time he came across a letter addressed to him in a stack of libary books, he was puzzled. Surely someone was joking? The only people who would've known to hide such a note behind a book on demonology were the Scoobies. He knew he was far too "old and gross" to rate such a letter from one of them.
But a small part of him still hoped...
When Giles found the second letter, he was slightly shocked. This latest declaration hardly seemed to be a joke.
A breath caught in his throat for a miniute at the thought. Then, he set the letter aside determined to continue with his work.
When the third letter arrived it promised to reveal its' mysterious author. He could scarcely read as his mind raced. Could Buffy return his feelings?
As he neared the bottom of the letter, the library door opened. His brow furrowed in irritation, Giles looked up to see who had entered.
His heart lurched as he looked up at her and down again at the letter. She nodded shyly.
Taking a moment to compose himself, Giles took a deep breath and resisted the urge to start cleaning his glasses.
Giles sighed inwardly...
He and Willow were going to have a *long* talk.
